The chapel at the Hacienda. Haciendas were built by Catholic Spainards who used the native people to work the lands. Almost all of the haciendas include a chapel. Once the native people won rights to be paid a fair wage, qand allowed to own land, most of the Haciendas had to sell off their vast land holdings and the houses are now mostly inns.
